Spring Break and Writing Update

Hello there!

Yes, I am alive even though I haven't written in a while. I completed my finals, went on vacation, and now just started Spring Term. It's very exciting. I am taking a water aerobics class, two psychology classes, and Statistics 243. It will be tough, but I can do it! I did very well last term and I was very proud of myself.

Now, where did I go on vacation? Answer: Newport & Burbank, California.
Did I have fun? Answer: YES! 
Here is what my vacation consisted of:

1. Watching 1/2 of Schindler's list with Momma. 
2. Watched the Hangover with Conan/Nubbins (my cat). 
3. Getting a new phone. 
4. Waking up early for flight to Southern California. 
5. IN-N-OUT 
6. Many Starbucks trips w/my momma. 
7. Finished Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult. 
8. Pedicure. 
9. Multiple hairs cut & highlighted. 
10. Sucking at Tennis (apparently it's not the same as softball).
11. Learning that I drool a lot on my pillow when I am relaxed in a cozy hotel. 
12. Finishing Season 3 of Downton Abbey & then screaming. 
13. Watching Dudley Do Right. 
14. Swimming. 
15. Writing a new scene for Novel #1. 
16. Eating an absurd amount of tacos. 
17. Going to the store in my bathing suit and flip-flops. 
18. Drinking several virgin pina coladas. 
19. Awkward moments at the dinner table with my grandparents (I had a giggle attack when nothing really funny was happening).
20. Sun burn. 
21. Sleeping. 
22. Walking down to the beach. 
23. Seasickness on my family's sailboat. 
24. Delicious tuna fish sandwich.  
25. Hanging out with my Dad. 
26. Forgetting my ID = can't go to Jay Leno show. 
27. Mexican food deliciousness. 
28. The Host (I did apologize to my Bro & Pa in advance if it was bad, which it was). 
29. Eating like a gazillion buffalo wings in a short amount of time. 
30. Warner Bros. Studio Tour awesomeness. 
31. Hanging out with our friend Derek at the Dodgers Game. 
32. Eating peanuts. 
33. Eating cinnamon sugar pretzels. 
34. Eating pizza.
35. Playing Just Dance 4 with my younger cousins. 
36. Eating parmesan eggplant at airport. 
37. Too much cheese = bad gas on the plane. 
38. Bad gas on the plane = angry mother & surrounding passengers who want to kill me. 
39. Getting home late. 
40. Sleeping in. 
41. Watching Rock of Ages (Ok, I have a new celebrity crush on Diego Boneta). 
42. Easter.

It was a lovely, lovely vacation.

So, here is what I have to tell you about my writing life. I posted Novel #1 on a website called Figment and had a couple people review my story. One reviewer had a lot of wonderful compliments and revisions that I should make. So, now I am working on those revisions and I think it is coming along so much better than I could have ever possibly imagined. It's weird how long I've worked on this book. I got the idea and started writing it before my 16th birthday. Another thing, I've been having way more fun working on this book than my second one. I definitely want to write the second one, but it's so much different and a little bit more painful to write than my first one because it basically feels like an autobiography with several tweaks. Anyhow, after Novel #1's revisions I will get right back to writing Novel #2. I am about halfway done with writing the first draft. 

And that's about it for now.
